Amid the deepening humanitarian crisis in Sudan and the widespread displacement affecting thousands of families, Wafaa Al-Mohsenin has carried out several Ramadan initiatives aimed at easing the hardships faced by the most vulnerable.
The projects included the distribution of essential food parcels as well as iftar meals in a number of camps hosting large numbers of displaced families.
This humanitarian intervention comes at a time when UN reports warn that millions of people in Sudan are facing severe levels of food insecurity, with many living in extremely difficult displacement conditions across the country.
The organization emphasized that these initiatives are not merely short-term interventions, but part of a broader series of humanitarian programs designed to support affected communities throughout Ramadan and beyond, with additional relief efforts planned based on needs identified in the field.
Wafaa Al-Mohsenin also noted that the situation in Sudan requires sustained and coordinated humanitarian action, particularly as displacement continues to rise and families struggle with declining purchasing power—making access to food and direct assistance an urgent necessity for many households.
