As Gaza’s healthcare system continues to struggle under the weight of war and displacement, Wafaa Al-Mohsenin has completed rehabilitation work inside Nasser Hospital, one of the last major medical centers still operating in southern Gaza.
The opening was attended by healthcare officials, community representatives, and local leaders, highlighting the urgent need to keep medical facilities functioning as hospitals face overwhelming pressure and critical shortages.
For months, Nasser Hospital has remained a lifeline for hundreds of thousands of displaced families and patients, continuing to receive the wounded and the sick despite the destruction affecting much of Gaza’s health sector.
The charity explained that carrying out the maintenance work was far from easy. Severe shortages of materials and basic equipment made the process difficult at every stage, but teams continued working to restore spaces that would help medical staff carry on their duties more safely and effectively.
This effort is part of Wafaa Al-Mohsenin’s ongoing support for Gaza’s exhausted health sector, helping hospitals continue serving people in the middle of an unprecedented humanitarian crisis.
The project also comes shortly after the organization was recognized for its continued role in supporting healthcare services throughout the war and helping medical institutions remain standing despite immense challenges.
