Wafaa Almohsenin Charity has managed to bring several trucks of relief supplies from the West Bank into Gaza—an effort that comes at a critical time as families struggle through the first waves of harsh winter weather.
The moment the trucks reached the Strip, our field teams began distributing thousands of warm blankets to displaced families in shelters and in the most affected areas. For many, these blankets are the only protection they have against the cold, especially with no heating and with homes and infrastructure destroyed.
The organization explained that despite continuous attempts to bring in tents and tarpaulins—so families could shield themselves from rain leaking into makeshift shelters—these efforts were not successful due to restrictions beyond our control. Still, we continue to work tirelessly to find alternative solutions that can ease people’s suffering as the winter approaches.
